Diva Dives In: “Angels fly because they take themselves lightly”

7/26/2010

Do you believe in angels?  I do.  And so do countless children.  I think it is because they are not yet tainted by all the hubub of this world.  They seem more “open” somehow......at least for awhile.  Anyway, I’ve gathered a few things children have written about angels for you to read and ponder.
Briony wrote, “My guardian angel, Reddy told me about the Angel Balls.  They are small circles with pictures of angels in them.  They help people.  When I send them to people, they land in their tummy and then disperse all over their body.”
11 1/2 year old Amanda writes, “I have not really seen my gardian angels but I have herd them.  They told me there names and that I will always be in their hands.  They sometimes still talk to me.  I hear them just behind the outside of my ear.  My gardian angels name is Ashely.  She is very nice and the best part of it is that she will allways be at my side.  I will allways remember the first time she spoke to me I was speechless but now I am not so scared.  P.S  I never told anybody about this but I told you because you have lots of experiances (or however you spell that word) with angels.
Adriana, age 10 wrote, “My guardian angel is very pretty.  She dressed in all-white.  She could be a model.  She has wings, and flies, but she can also walk.  Her hairs is blondish-brown.  One of her eyes is green and the other blue.  She must be about 14 years old.  She’s funny; she tells me funny jokes.  She likes to go to the park, she likes the swings and the monkey-bars.  When she is around I feel safe and happy.  She told me her name is Summer.”
Meagan, aged four says, “Angels don’t have mommies and daddies.”  She said her guardian angel is very funny.  She says they live up in the sky and her special ones look like Batman and Robin!
Loren was five when she told this story....”I was talking to the angels last night.  There were three of them with colored wings and white dresses.  They were inside of something like a bubble, but I could see through it.  They told me to tell you hello and then they went away.  I see them all the time, they are my friends and always tell me that Jesus loves me, and I always thell them I know, and then we all laugh.”  When she told this story, she had never before mentioned angels and out of the blue she spurted out this “hello” from the angels!
I’d love to hear your angel stories. I know many of you have one to share!  Please send it to me!
