DOUGLAS MOUZON - MANNING

Douglas Gerald Mouzon, 74, husband of Lina Dotterer Simpson-Mouzon, died at his home on Friday, December 18, 2009. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Dr. William J. Holmes, were held Tuesday, December 22, 2009, in The Presbyterian Church at Manning.  Burial, directed by Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory, followed in the Richburg Cemetery in Greeleyville. Born December 11, 1935, in Greeleyville, he was the son of the late Wilbur S. and Irma Tisdale Mouzon. He was retired from Albany International in St. Stephen after 39 1/2 years in the weaving department. He was a member of The Presbyterian Church at Manning, where he served as an Elder, and was a  servant and for many years. Survivors, in addition to his wife of Manning, are: two daughters, Amy M. Carter  (Billy) of Wagener; and Marlaine S. Fiocco of W. Salem, Ohio; one son, Joseph J. Simpson, II (Caroline) of Oxford, Mississippi; two sisters, Frances M. Howie (Donnie) of Davidson, North Carolina; and Emma Sue Atkinson of Greeleyville; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Pallbearers were Russell Harrelson, Ranny I. Stephens, Silkman Wood, Norman Ivey, Donnie Mahoney, and Tommy Cooper. Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Church at Manning, P. O. Box 207, Manning, SC 29102.
