Dorothy Louise “Dollie” Mims Poston, 81, a long resident of Kingstree, died Sunday, February 14, 2010. Funeral services for Mrs. Poston, conducted by Rev. David Marcy, were held Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Kingstree United Methodist Church in Kingstree. Burial, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, followed at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church Cemetery in Greeleyville. Mrs. Poston was the daughter of the late Apgar Durant Mims and Annie Covington Mims of Salters. She was a member of Kingstree United Methodist Church. Survivors are: her husband, Newell Poston, Sr. of Myrtle Beach; three children, Bill Poston (Rebecca) of Raleigh, North Carolina; and Jim Poston (Robin) and Nancy Poston Ward (Tim), both of Murrells Inlet; three sisters, Mary Ellen Mims of Swansea; Florence Mims Metts (Hampton) of Moncks Corner; and Grace Mims Wilson (Luther) of West Columbia; and five grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Kingstree United Methodist Church or Mount Vernon United Methodist Church.
