Diane McKnight Barr, 56, of Conway, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012. A memorial service was held Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the Myrtle Beach Church of Christ in Myrtle Beach. Mrs. Barr was born May 3, 1955, in Kingstree, a daughter of the late Gillie and Laura Adamson McKnight. She was a graduate of the Williamsburg County School System and went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Theatre Arts and Radio, Television & Film Communication from Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Survivors are: her husband Joseph “Joey” Barr of Conway; two children, Amie Barr of Columbia; and Micah “Iron Mike “22” Barr of Conway; two brothers, Adoniran Gilfred McKnight (Pallie), and Wyman Glyn McKnight, both of Kingstree; one sister, Redonia Thomas (James) of Greenville, and one granddaughter.
