Funeral services for Bro. Desmond Jamont Addison, conducted by the Rev. Harvey Mack and the Rev. Alphonzo Richardson, were held Thursday, December 20, 2012, at St. Stephen Baptist Church of St. Stephen.
Mr. Addsion, 25, died Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Roper St. Francis Hospital of Charleston. He was born February 11, 1987, in Charleston, the son of Cynthia and Julius Eadie. He was a member of Holy Rock Baptist Church of St. Stephen. He was a graduate from Timberland High School class of 2005. While attending Timberland High, he was a member of the basketball team. After high school, he attended Lincoln Trail Technical College in Illinois on a basketball scholarship. Survivors, in addition to his parents, are: his maternal grandmother, Bernice Deberry; one son, Ziyare Addison (Chrystal); two brothers, Kevin Maxwell and DaCorey Eadie; and four sisters, Crystal Addison, Danielle Veney (Anthony), LeShawn Eadie and Shantoria Goodwin (James).
