DERRICK WAGNER, KINGSTREE

Funeral services for Derrick “Duck” Lowayne Wagner, conducted by the Rev. J. Jeannette Cooper and the Rev. Jack C. Washington, were held Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Greenlawn Cemetery of Kingstree. Mr. Wagner died Saturday, June 23, 2012, in Kingstree. He was born April 6, 1966, in Kingstree, the son of the late Reuben V. and Janie Fulton Wagner. He attended the public schools of Williamsburg County. He was a student of the graduating class of 1984. While in high school, he was a high school bus driver and attended Upward Bound. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. His son, Eric Na-Quan Shaw and one brother, Robert Wagner, preceded him in death. He was employed by the American Red Cross for 10 years. He was also employed by BFI in Columbia. He was recently employed by All About Trash of Andrews. Survivors are: one daughter, Niesha L. Wagner of Colorado Springs, Colorado; six brothers, Francis Wagner of Kingstree; Herman Wagner and Burnett Wagener (Alba), both of Laurel, Maryland; Reuben O. Wagener and Tracy Johnson (Lavern), both of Norwalk, Connecticut; and Stacey Pressley (Shenniqua) of Columbia; and nine sisters, Sylvia Wagener, Laura Wagner-Coard and Shirley Wagner, all of Brooklyn, New York; Rubie M. Wagner of Queens, New York; Hazel Wagner, Mrs. Gracie West (Clay), Louise Wagner, Felicia Wagener and Sharmaine Wagner, all of Kingstree.
