BESSIE COUTRIER, JAMESTOWN

Funeral services for Mother Bessie Coutrier, conducted by the Rev. Robert G. McCutchen, Jr., were held Friday, June 29, 2012, at Jerusalem Baptist Church of Jamestown. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery of Jamestown. Mother Coutrier died Sunday, June 24, 2012, in Moncks Corner. She was born September 28, 1928, in Berkeley County, the daughter of the late Eddie Coutrier and Hessie Coutrier. She attended the Jamestown School System. She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church. Two brothers, Samuel Coutrier and Jethro Coutrier, preceded her in death. Survivors are: her children, Ginger and Sally Coutrier of Charleston; Janice Scott of Moncks Corner; and Maybell Coutrier and Ida Coutrier, both of Jamestown; two sisters, Lucy Coutrier of Charleston; and Ophelia Gee of New York, New York; and four grandchildren.
