Funeral services for Anngenette “Nett” or “Anna Mae” Shaw, conducted by the Rev. Harvey Mack and Bishop Carswell Jackson, were held Saturday, March 3, 2012, at St. Stephen Baptist Church of St. Stephen. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Emmanuel R.E. Church Cemetery of Alvin. Ms. Shaw died Saturday, February 25, 2012, in Eutawville. She was born January 14, 1970, in Charleston, a daughter of Edgar Hawkins and Gertie Mae Dingle. She was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County. She was a 1987 graduate of St. Stephen High School. Survivors are: three daughters, Courtney S. Scipio (Carlos), Alexia S. Shaw and Deshanay Ravenell, all of Moncks Corner; two sons, Jermaine Bryan and Desmond Shaw, both of Jamestown; her mother, Gertie Mae Shaw Dingle (James) of St. Stephen; her father, Edgar Hawkins of Jamestown; nine sisters, Jeanette Shaw and Veronica R. Cox (Derrell), both of St. Stephen; Kenya Applewhite (Bishop Elect Pernell, Jr.) of Florence; Kimbal Jones and Sharl Hawkins, both of Columbia; Latisha Blackshell of Rayford, North Carolina; Erica R. Patterson of Allendale; Michelle Nixon of Huger; and Shyniah Hawkins of Jamestown; two brothers, James Dingle (Shontor) of St. Stephen; and Edgar Raynard, III, of Columbia; and two grandchildren.
