The Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a recent shooting in Kingstree that resulted in injuries.

On March 12, deputies responded to the intersection of Longstreet Street and Church Street in reference to a gunshot victim, police said.

Upon arrival to the scene, deputies were advised that the shooting victim was located near Janice Loop, when an unknown person fired a gun at the victim, striking them and causing unknown injuries.

Williamsburg Count Emergency Services responded, rendered aid and transported the shooting victim to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

The WCSO is asking anyone with knowledge or information about the incident to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 843-355-6381. You do not have to reveal your identity to leave information.
