Missionary March

Holy Convocation
Everyone is invited to our 81st Holy Convocation of the The Churches of God and True Holiness, June 23 to June 27. Our theme is “A New Beginning for Soul Winning.”

The Ark Food Pantry
The Food Pantry will be open to the public from 2:00 p.m. thru 3:00 p.m. All recipients are required to show a current valid photo I.D. card. Teachings from the Ark, located at 105 East Main Street, will be having its “Second Banquet” on June 21, 2008 at 6 p.m.

Power Lab VBS
Kingstree United Methodist Church and Williamsburg Presbyterian Church invite children to Power Lab Bible School: Where Children Discover Jesus’ Miraculous Power!
Power Lab begins on Sunday, June 22 and continues through Friday, June 27. Everyone is invited to join us at Kingstree United Methodist Church located at 510 N. VBS
Our upcoming Vacation Bible School “Outrigger Island” will be held at Kingstree First Baptist from June 16 to June 20. Each night formally starts at 6:00 and goes until 8:30. Vacation Bible School is open to all children ages four to sixth grade. We are also having a class for adults. Dinner will be served free of charge each night during the program. Children will have arts and crafts, music, recreation, and Bible study.
On Friday night, we have family night which includes giant slides and bouncy houses, free hot dogs, ice cream, popcorn, and other games. The whole family is invited. We will be presenting a video which features highlights from each night. The children will also be singing the songs they have learned from that week. St. Ann Summer Programs
St. Ann Outreach Center located at 908 Thorne Avenue is offering the following summer programs and assistance. Blessed Angela Meal Days: On the last Tuesday of June, July and every month, there is a cooked lunch for all from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. These meals are prepared by area churches. During the meal, free legal aid is also provided with a certified provider. Please invite your friends. Everyone is welcomed.
Takeout Bag Lunches: On the last Wednesday of July and August from 11 a.m. to noon, you can pick up a free bag lunch with a sandwich and drink to take home and enjoy. You must come in person to receive the bag lunch. This is provided by a First Steps grant for healthy nutrition.
Eye Care, Dental Care, Prescriptions Assistance: Summertime is the best time to take children to their doctors for their needs. St. Ann Center is able to assist with some medical assistance only on the following days: Monday, June 23 from 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, June 24 from 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday, June 26 from 9 a.m. to noon only. Adults may also apply especially the elderly. For more information, call the Sisters at 354-9415.
Summer Programs: Monday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 30 we will have Bible Camp Fun Days for school age children from five to eight years old from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Our friends from the Kingstree Presbyterian Church and four Felician Sisters will provide music and art and stories that will bring us all to know Jesus better.

Healthy Cooking Classes: Monday, July 28, Tuesday, July 29 and Wednesday, July 30 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., we will have Healthy Cooking Classes for children from ages nine to 12 years old. The kids will prepare a meal, eat the meal and take home a bag of groceries to make the same meal at home.

Back to School Sale: Mark your calendars for Friday, August 1 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the “Big”sale. New school supplies, new clothing, backpacks, and more will be available at very low prices. Invite your friends to take advantage of these bargains.
Vacation Bible School
The Oak Grove Missionary Baptist announces its annual Vacation Bible School classes beginning on Monday, June 23 to Thursday, June 26. Classes will be held 6-8:30 p.m. daily. Activities are planned for pre-school through seniors. Everyone is invited to join us in God’s big backyard.
Trustee March
Mt. Zion AME Church of the Bloomingvale Community of Andrews will have a 100 Men Trustee March on June 22 at 3:30 p.m. Our theme is “Man’s Power from His Spiritual Father. John 1:12.
