Williamsburg County Emergency Management warns that a powerful weather system will impact our area on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Expect heavy rain, wind and severe storms through the day and evening with wind gusts up to 40 to 45 mph. Isolated thunderstorms and tornados could cause more intense, damaging winds.
In anticipation of the hazardous weather, Williamsburg Academy will be dismissing tomorrow at 11:25 a.m. The Andrews bus will leave campus at 11:00 a.m. and will arrive in Andrews by 11:30 a.m. All afterschool activities are cancelled including daycare.
Tuesday will be an e-learning day for Williamsburg County School District Schools. All extracurricular afterschool activities (academic and athletic) are canceled for Tuesday.
Williamsburg Technical College staff and students will be working remotely on Tuesday. Campus will be closed.
