Kevin Pendergrass
Kevin Pendergrass, 55, of Kingstree was arrested on Monday, February 19 after drugs were discovered in his home within reach of three children under his care.
Kingstree Police Department investigators obtained a search warrant after drugs were purchased by an undercover unit. When investigators entered the home on Franklin Street, they found three children under the supervision of Pendergrass, ages 4-7, who had easy access to drugs found in the home. Two of the children belonged to Pendergrass, and one belonged to a family member. Pendergrass’ children were placed with a family member, and the other child was returned to family.
11.5 grams of “crack” cocaine, 4.0 grams of cocaine, 28 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were discovered in the home.
Pendergrass was charged with trafficking crack cocaine and three charges of unlawful neglect of a child, among other charges.
