A second person has been arrested in connection with a November 2022 shooting that left one dead, according to the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Nautica Nikia McKnight, 26, of Kingstree faces a charge of misprision of a felony, which is neglect in reporting a crime.

The arrest stems from a November 13, 2022 incident when WCSO deputies responded to 52 Rabbits Foot Loop Extension in reference to a shooting. According to arrest warrants, the site is home to Fat’s Club.

Upon arrival, the deputies found a gunshot victim, who was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment, but later succumbed to their injuries.

After an investigation, Audrey Nepolean Williams, 47, of Kingstree was arrested on April 28 by Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and the Community Action Team on active warrants pertaining to the homicide, a press release said. According to warrants, the man allegedly fired a gun into an occupied vehicle, striking the victim.

Williams faces charges of murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a firearm into a vehicle while occupied.

The WCSO said further investigation into the shooting revealed that McKnight was allegedly aware of threats made by Williams towards the victim prior to the shooting, but failed to notify law enforcement.

Officials said McKnight surrendered herself to the WCSO on May 5 and was booked into the Williamsburg County Detention Center.

Deputies say additional charges are expected and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Criminal Investigation Division of the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office at 843-355-6381.
