Law enforcement investigating infant death

Investigators are treating an infant death as a homicide. According to a press release issued by the Kingstree Police Department, on Wednesday, May 27, around 4:00pm officers responded to Interfaith Apartments in Kingstree in reference to an unresponsive infant. Upon arrival the infant was rushed to the hospital where it was pronounced dead.  Circumstances around these events were enough to open a full investigation with the assistance of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. As of Thursday, May 28, no arrests have been made.
