Nesmith man charged with attempted murder

Nathaniel Louis Graham, age 53, of Nesmith, SC has been charged with Attempted Murder. According to a press release issued by the Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office investigators arrested Graham on Thursday, April 16, 2015 and charged him with Attempted Murder. The arrest comes after a shooting at a store located at 2442 Hemingway Highway in Hemingway, SC. According to investigators, Graham and the victim had a dispute in the parking lot when Graham allegedly retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and shot at the victim, striking the victim in the arm and shoulder. The victim is being treated at an area hospital for the gunshot wounds. Graham was booked at the Williamsburg County Detention Center. The investigation into this matter is ongoing and additional charges are possible. Under South Carolina law, Attempted Murder is a felony punishable by up to 30 years in prison, no portion of which may be suspended.
