Man arrested for rape

A Turbeville man has been charged with forcible rape of a mentally challenged woman. Ollie Mack Mims Jr., 69, was arrested on Friday, February 26, and charged with forcible rape according to a Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office incident report. According to the report, on February 15, the victim, who according to a family member has a mental problem and unable to consent for herself, told law enforcement she had been contacted by Mims in January and has had sexual activity with him on several occasions. Mims remains in the Williamsburg County Detention Center.
