Robert Tisdale, Kingstree - Funeral services for Robert Gary “Bobby” Tisdale, conducted by the Rev. Craig Pipkin and the Rev. John Dodd, were held Friday, August 29, 2014, at Central Presbyterian Church of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home of Kingstree, followed at Tisdale Cemetery. Mr. Tisdale, 87, was born August 2, 1927, in Kingstree, the son of the late Gary and Edna McCrea Tisdale. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, where he had served as a deacon and an elder. He served in the Navy and was deployed on the USS Wisconsin during his time in the service. He was a farmer and loved his farm and farming. Four siblings, Ray Tisdale, Elizabeth Sheegog, Emma Gene Holiway and Rose Nell Bifano, preceded him in death. Survivors are: his wife, Dorothy Marshall “Dot” Tisdale; three daughters, Bonnie Schmidt (Chuck) of Williston; Linda McDonald (Duffy) of Durham, North Carolina; and Paulette Tisdale of Anderson; two sons, Michael Tisdale (Janet) of Andrews; and Wayne Tisdale (Penny) of Anderson; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
