Richmond Pearson, St. Stephens - Funeral services for Richmond Pearson, conducted by the Rev. E.A. Sims, were held Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Inez M. Henryhand Memorial Chapel of St. Stephen. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Old Peru Cemetery of St. Stephen. Mr. Pearson died Friday, August 8, 2014, at his residence in St. Stephen. He was born September 24, 1931, in St. Stephen, the son of the late Robert Richardson and Cecer Green. He received his education in the public schools of Berkeley County. He was a member of Allen Chapel AME Church of St. Stephen. He worked in construction for many years. He enjoyed picking up cans along side the highways, and everywhere he could find them. Survivors are: one sister, Mary Nealey (Hezzie) of Jersey City, New Jersey; and his caregiver, Angelita Jenkins of St. Stephen.
