Levi Dozier, Jr., Salters - Funeral services for the Rev. Levi Silverman L.S. Dozier, Jr., conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Brockington and the Rev. Christopher Dozier, were held Friday, March 14, 2014, at Marion Missionary Baptist Church of Salters. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Marion Memorial Garden of Salters. The Rev. Dozier died Saturday, March 8, 2014, in Kingstree. He was born November 21, 1931, in Salters, the son of the late Levi Dozier, Sr. and Charlotte Dais Dozier. He was a member of Marion Missionary Baptist Church of Salters. He received his education in the public schools of Williamsburg County. He received his license to preach in 1973. A son, Silverman Quintin Dozier, preceded him in death. He was employed with Georgia Pacific and Drexel Heritage for numerous years.

Survivors are: his wife, Roberta Dozier of the home; one daughter, Alfreda A. Dozier of Columbia; three sons, Barry D. Dozier (Barbara) of Manning; Barney C. Dozier of Lane; and Desmond M. Dozier of Columbia; two sisters, Pearlestine Dunmore of Kingstree; and Shirley Plowden of Philadelphia; one brother, James Dozier of Lane; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.
