Jeremy Grant, Andrews - Funeral services for Jeremy Jamal “Bud” Grant, conducted by Bishop Keith D. Nesmith, Elder James Rush, and Elder I. Daryl Pressley, were held Thursday, July 31, 2014, at St. Peter Way of The Cross Church of Andrews. Burial, directed by Pressley’s Funeral Home, followed at Fulmore Memorial Park of Andrews. Mr. Grant died Sunday, July 27, 2014. He was born June 2, 1986, in Florence County. He graduated from Kingstree Senior High with the class of 2004. He was an active member of the South Carolina National Guard. He completed tours to Afghanistan and Kuwait. He studied at South Carolina State University of Orangeburg, and was currently a student at Midlands Technical College in Columbia, pursuing a degree in welding. Survivors are: his parents, James E. Grant (Tywanda Hyden) of Andrews and Geraldine Grant-Carr (Jermaine) of Charlotte, North Carolina; two daughters, Ka’Mya Grant and Aa’Liyah Brown; one brother, Adrian Grant of Andrews; one sister, Kameron Graham of Hemingway; his paternal grandmother, Daisy Grant; two he called his brothers, Jamal Giles of New Jersey; and Damien Bellamy of Andrews; four he called his sisters, Shelia Hunter (Christopher) and Victoria McClary, both of Sumter; Antoinette Grant of Andrews; and Brenda Barr of St. Matthews; and three Godchildren, Kameron, Michael and Aiden.
