Lakisha Kelty, Lane - Funeral services for Lakisha Ann Kelty, conducted by the Rev. Clifford Levine, were held Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Bethel AME Church of Lane. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at McKnight Cemetery of Lane. Ms. Kelty died Sunday, July 27, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. She was born August 30, 1973, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Anna Belle Kelty Thompson and Willie McCullough. She moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1979, where she attended Public School 26, Junior High School 324, and Sarah J. Hale High School, where she studied cosmetology.

She attended New York Technical College in Brooklyn, New York. She relocated to Richmond, Virginia in April 2003, where she was employed by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Survivors are: one daughter, Kahlilah Kelty of Richmond, Virginia; one brother, David Kelty (Monica) of North Plainfield, New Jersey; and three sisters, Timia Kelty-Shaw (Felton) of Jersey City, New Jersey; Shalanda Kelty of Myrtle Beach; and Aquila Flowers-Williams (Jamil) of Worchester, Massachusetts.
