Henry Wallace, Kingstree - Funeral services for Henry Allen Wallace, conducted by the Rev. Franklin D. James, Sr., were held Monday, August 4, 2014, at St. Michael United Methodist Church of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at St. Michael United Methodist Church Cemetery of Kingstree.

Mr. Wallace died Friday, July 25, 2014. He was born April 4, 1957, in Bronx, New York, the son of Cennie Johnson and the late Henry Wallace. He graduated from Dewitt Clinton High School in the Bronx, New York. He began working in construction by installing windows. He later successfully completed courses in culinary arts and graduated in 2000. He became a chef. A brother, Elmer Wright, preceded him in death. Survivors, in addition to his mother, are: one daughter, Iisha Wallace and her mother, Barbara Sims; four step-grandchildren, Tyeshonn, Naquan, Vanessa and Nygil; his goddaughter/cousin, Latisha Braxton; and one grandson.
