Willie Taylor, St. Stepehn - Funeral services for Willie Wilbert Taylor, conducted by the Rev. Alphonzo Richardson, were held Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Inez M. Henryhand Memorial Chapel of St. Stephen. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Peru Cemetery of St. Stephen. Mr. Taylor died Friday, July 18, 2014. He was born March 3, 1933, in Borkins, Virginia, the son of Laura Taylor and Sunny Bud. He moved to Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Baltimore Public Schools. After high school, he became a member of the United States Army, where he served until 1955. After leaving the army, he began working at Heer Mechanical Company. After retiring he moved to St. Stephen. He was a member of Holy Rock Church, where he was a trustee. Survivors are: his wife, Carrutha Taylor; one daughter, Patricia Ann Richmond of Baltimore, Maryland; three grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
