Two suspects have been arrested in connection to the July 11, death of a Lake City man. According to Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office Incident Reports, on July 12, Charles Burroughs, 39, of 1811 Cades Road, Lake City, was found dead in his home. According to Williamsburg County Coroner Harrison McKnight, the victim was shot twice.
Donna C. Hemmans, 48, of the same address, was arrested and charged with murder. She was also charged with possession of a weapon. Tasha Cooper McClary, 42, of Kingstree, was arrested and charged with misprison of felony. Both suspects remain incarcerated at the Williamsburg Detention Center. The incident remains under investigation.
