Vince Gaillard, Jr. Pineville - Funeral services for Specialist 4 (SPC) Vince Edward “Bucky” Gaillard, Jr., conducted by the Rev. Joseph Prioleau, were held Thursday, June 12, 2014, at?Day Dawn Baptist Church of Pineville. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Sunset Memorial Garden of Pineville.

Specialist 4 (SPC) Gaillard died Saturday, June 7, 2014. He was born January 28, 1991, in Charleston, the son of Marlorunita Timmins and Vince E. Gaillard, Sr. He was a student at J.K. Gourdine Elementary School until the second grade when his family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. He started the third grade and continued his education within the Charlotte, Mecklenburg School System, until his family moved back to St. Stephen. There he graduated from Timberland High School in June 2009. He was a member of Day Dawn Baptist Church. In November 2010, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was sworn in at Ft. Jackson in Columbia in February 2011. While in the Army, he spent most of his time in Germany. While in Germany he did one tour in Afghanistan. He returned to the states in March 2013, where he was stationed at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He was scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan in August. Survivors are: his mother and father Marlorunita Timmons (Darrell) and Vince E. Gaillard, Sr. (Dominique); two brothers, Malquan Gaillard and Kameron Timmons; five sisters, Destanee Timmons, Niosha Kelly, Diamond Gaillard, Shatiaya Kelly, and Dee Salley; his maternal grandparents, Sentnellia (Pearl) Collins, (Dec. Israel Collins); paternal grandfather, Willie McDaniel; his Godmother, Alicia Parsons; and his Godson, Ayden Jenkins.
Pallbearers were Clarence Gaillard, Jr., Kevin Gaillard, Lawrence Gaillard, Andre Middleton, Jeffrey Timmons, and Damon Kelly.
