Senator will have to wait another day

S.C. Senator Yancey McGill made public his decision to take over as interim lieutenant governor. 

He first must be elected Senate president pro tempore before ascending to lieutenant governor according to state constitution. The Senate was expected to vote on the motion today however in a 23 to 22 vote the Senate decided to adjourn until Wednesday at 2:00PM.
