The Williamsburg Soil and Water Conservation District hold its annual poster contest

The Williamsburg Soil and Water Conservation District recently held its annual poster contest for kindergarten through third grade classes.

The topic of the contest was “Dig Deeper- Mysteries in the Soil” which helped the students to understand the many ways soil affects our daily lives.

The winners were: kindergarten – Leslie Harrell’s class at Hemingway Day School, first grade – Harrell’s class at Hemingway Day School.

Also awarded were two third grade classes were awarded – Crystal Mercer’s class at Williamsburg Academy and Marti Powell’s class at Hemingway Day School.

The class received an ice cream or pizza party as their prize.
