Local student receives full scholarship to summer camp at Clemson University

Tyler Ricks, a sixth grade student at D.P. Cooper Elementary School, has been awarded a full scholarship to attend Clemson University’s Project WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) Summer Camp in June. During the summer camp, Tyler will have the opportunity to participate in group projects and hands-on laboratories in science, engineering, and math. Dr. Kerry D. Singleton, D.P. Cooper Principal, stated, “Tyler is an outstanding student who will come back to D.P. Cooper to share her experience with other students.
