William Chew, Litchfield - William Stevens “Steve” Chew, 65, husband of Sarah V. Grayson, died Sunday, April 27, 2014, at his residence in Litchfield. Graveside funeral services were held Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home. Mr. Chew was born October 13, 1948, in Louisville, Georgia, the son of the late Mary Riddle Chew and Ellis Hudson Chew. He was a graduate of Wadley High School in Wadley, Georgia and attended Middle Georgia College, Armstrong College in Savannah, and University of West Florida in Pensacola. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a former manager of Columbia Custom Clubs in Columbia and retired from Palmetto Promotions in Columbia. Survivors, in addition to his wife of Pawleys Island, are: two brothers, Alexander L. Chew and Frank Ellis Chew, both of Aiken.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
