Simon Henryhand, Salters - Funeral services for Simon “Sam” or “Sambo” Leverne Henryhand, conducted by the Apostle J. Bernard McCray, were held Monday, April 28, 2014, at Clauddie Henryhand Memorial Chapel of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at St. Phillip AME Church Cemetery of Salters. Mr. Henryhand died Wednesday, April 23, 2014. He was born March 4, 1947, in Kingstree, the son of the late Raleigh and Bessie Henryhand. He was educated at Tomlinson High School. At an early age, he moved to Rochester, New York. While there, he was employed by Coca-Cola for many years. Later, he relocated back home to Kingstree and was a construction worker. Two siblings, Stephenson Henryhand and Georgia Mae Henryhand, preceded him in death.

Survivors are: one daughter, Selena Henryhand of Columbia; one son, Simon Henryhand of Columbia; one brother, Herbert Brown of Kingstree; three sisters, Albertha Tisdale and Dora H. Fulton (Deacon Herman), both of Kingstree; and Seline Henryhand of Pamplico; one godchild, Markeese Henryhand; and two grandchildren.
