Seniors Patrol - The Kingstree Police Department is offering a seniors patrol wellness check. Any elderly, ill or bedridden residents of the Town of Kingstree who would like for the police department to contact them on a regular basis should call Chief Eric Williams or Police Chaplain the Rev. Harold Jackson. Chief Williams or Rev. Jackson can be reached at 355-5435 or come by the police department and leave your name, phone number, and address.

Senior Bingo - The senior citizens of Lane invite any senior citizen to join them every first and third Tuesday at Lane Recreation Center on Broomstraw Rd. for “Senior Bingo.”
Weight Watchers- Weight Watchers 2013 meetings will be held at the First Baptist Church of Kingstree. Classes are on Thursdays at 5 p.m.

Housing Authority - The Housing Authority of Kingstree will meet every third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at 1022 Lexington Ave., Kingstree.
Program - Through The Storm Outreach, Inc., a Maternity Group Home located in Kingstree, has beds available for youth ages 16 to 22. They will come pick the youth up from your facility and intake them into their program for up to 540 days. There are five beds available for pregnant and parenting girls. Yoga Classes - Regular yoga classes for beginners and Chair yoga classes are offered at the St. Alban’s Episcopal Church Parrish Hall at 305 Hampton Ave., Kingstree. Please use the door at the hall that does not face Hampton Ave. on the left side.

Health Screening - The Nursing Department of Francis Marion University has been approved to provide free health screenings every Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Felician Center located at 1000 Thorne Avenue, Kingstree. Sugar testing, vision testing etc. will be provided free of charge. In addition, a licensed nurse will be available to assist individuals with some health planning on a regular basis.
Pageant - Mary’s Angels, a nonprofit 501(C)3 cordially invite Williamsburg County youth to participate in this years county pageant. The County Pageant officially part of the Miss America Organization will be held Friday June 13, at Williamsburg County Complex located 147 W. Main Street Kingstree. This year’s theme is “Flawless.” Application for the event can be found at Williamsburg County schools and local beauty and barber shops. Females must be between the age 13-21 and a resident of the county.

Fair Housing - The South Carolina Fair Housing Center (SCFHC) officially opened its doors September 2013 as a non-profit civil rights organization serving the entire state of South Carolina. Its mission and purpose entails enforcement of fair housing laws across the state. Complaint intakes are accepted daily regarding violations of the Fair Housing Act. South Carolina residents wishing to complete an intake may call 1 (855) 665-8549 between the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Walk-ins are also welcome.
