Levern Johnson, Kingstree - Funeral services for Levern “Pickey” Johnson, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Herman Gibson, were held Friday, April 18, 2014, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery of Kingstree.Mr. Johnson died Friday, April 11, 2014. He was born October 18, 1952, in Kingstree, the son of Ben W. Johnson and the late Flossie Scott Johnson. He attended the public schools of Williamsburg County. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was employed by New York City Municipal Courts in New York, as a custodian. He was also employed in Jamestown, Charleston and Greeleyville. He also had a talent for landscaping, painting and babysitting.Survivors, in addition to his father of the home, are: seven brothers, Dayton Johnson (Angela), Harold Johnson (Mary), Walter Johnson (Joan), Archie Johnson, Curtis Johnson (Gladys), Lyndon Johnson (Sharay) and Deshannon Johnson (Tywanda), all of Kingstree; one sister, Rikitta Bass of New Haven, Connecticut; and a Goddaughter, Jadis Williams.
