Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Clifford Levine, were held Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the William N. Redmond Memorial Chapel of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Redmond-Richardson Funeral Home, followed at McKnight Cemetery of Lane.Ms. June was born January 29, 1913, the daughter of the late Harrison Mansfield and Mary Miller Mansfield. A sister, Ida Stewart, and three brothers, Sam Mansfield, Harrison Mansfield and Noble Mansfield, preceded her in death. She was educated in Lane within the Williamsburg County School System. She attended Bethel AME Church in Salters. In 1962, she joined Poplar Street AME Zion Church of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she served on the usher and missionary boards; she was known as a “Quiet Worker.” She worked as a seamstress for Robert Bruce Clothing Company, until her retirement. She was married to the late Leroy June. After the passing of her husband, she met James Brisbon.Survivors are: three children, Carolyn Gethers (Leonard), Benjamin A. June (Jeanette) and Arwin Brisbon (Karen); 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
