Deloris Gaskins, Manning - Deloris "Lois" McKnight Gaskins died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at her residence in Manning. Funeral services, conducted by Pastor Rosa Lee Rogers, were held Sunday, March 23, 2014, at True Believers Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ of Greeleyville. Burial, directed by Redmond-Richardson Funeral Home, followed at Crossroads Cemetery of Salters.
Ms. Gaskins was born June 23, 1968, in New Haven, Connecticut, the daughter of Lois Calvy and the late James Hugh McKnight. She received her formal education in the public schools of New Haven, Connecticut. She was a member of Joy Temple Church of Christ in Prayer, Inc. of New Haven, Connecticut. After moving to Manning, she became a member of the True Believers Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ of Greeleyville. She worked for many years at K-Mart Department Store of New Haven, Connecticut. Survivors, in addition to her mother of the home, are: two children, Takia' McKnight and William Moultrie, Jr., both of the home; five sisters, Victoria Watson (Herbert) of Lexington; Sharie Ann Hayes of Mount Dora, Florida; Julia Brown and Patrina McKnight, both of Manning; and Angela Clinton of Lakeland, Florida.
