Obituary Wilhelmina Overby

Wilhelmina Overby, Kingstree - Mrs. Wilhelmina Epps Overby, 89, widow of Lewis Thomas "Tom" Overby, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the Kingstree Nursing Facility. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church. Burial, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, followed at Williamson Cemetery. Mrs. Overby was born July 27, 1924, in the Mouzon Community, the daughter of the late David C. and Wilhelmina Williamson "Willa" Epps. She was a graduate of Cades High School and Winthrop College, with a BS in Education. She was a retired school teacher, having taught in Pleasant Hill, Indiantown, Hebron, Kingstree and Williamsburg Academy. She was a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, a Lifetime Member of the Kingstree Pilot Club and a member of The Garden Makers Garden Club. A brother, Muldrow Epps, preceded her in death. Survivors are: one daughter, Betty Ann Waddell (Tom) of West Columbia, one sister-in-law, Dorothy Epps of New Zion, and several nieces and nephews.
