Dexter George, a four-year letterman and team captain for the C.E. Murray High School Football Team, recently signed a Letter of Intent to Orangeburg Calhoun Tech Prep Academy. Dexter has played RB, QB, and LB for the War Eagles and went 9 of 10 passing for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns during the season with 12 point conversion run on offense. On defense, Dexter had 44 tackles, 21 solos, with 1 caused fumble, and 1 sack.
C.E. Murray's Head Football Coach Smith said, "I understand they will play him at multiple positions. They are getting a good athlete that is very coachable and does everything you ask of him. We look forward to seeing Dexter achieve his goals in the future. Once again, we need to thank Ms. Debra Keels, C. E. Murray High School Athletic Director, and Dr. Janice Gamble, Principal, for their guidance in leading Dexter in the right direction these past four years of his life. Dexter's parents, Dexter George, Sr. and Jackie George, have been instrumental in keeping him on track and goal oriented. It is great to have support from our parents."
