Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca Cooper Brown Fulton were held Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Jehovah Cemetery of Kingstree. Mrs. Fulton died Sunday, December 29, 2013, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of Florence. She was born August 16, 1938, in Kingstree, the daughter of Ethel Cooper McCullough and the late John Cooper. She was the granddaughter of the late Ned and Lizzie Singletary. She was educated in the public school system of Williamsburg County. She worked as a member of the food service staff at Tisdale’s Quick Stop for a number of years. She also worked at Beiersd of Norwalk, Connecticut, where she retired. She was married to the late James Ed Brown, Sr. A stepdaughter, Sylvia Fulton, preceded her in death. Survivors, in addition to her mother, are: her husband, Ceasar Fulton, Sr.; 10 children, Katherine Lewis (Willie) of Rochester, New York; Gloria Dozier Holmes of Moncks Corner; Bessie Thomas (Willis), James Brown, Jr., Archie Brown, and Ethleen McCray (Randy), all of Kingstree; Roberta Britt (Vernon) and Carolina Cox, both of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Linda Chatman (Travis) of Salters; and Susie Cooper (Jerome) of Miami, Florida; six step-children, Simon, Michael, Sr., Ceasar, Jr., Delilah Vestina, and Gloria Fulton, all of Bridgeport, Connecticut; two sisters, Lillie Mae Davis of Miami, Florida; and Mary Ruth Johnson of Rochester, New York; five brothers, Elijah, John, and Alfred Cooper, all of Kingstree; Robert Singletary of Arlington, Maryland; and James Cooper (Betty) of Kingstree; those she took as her children, Dexter and Shanise Brown of Columbia; and Teresa and Michael Fulton, Jr. of Bridgeport, Connecticut; 32 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
