Mary Johnson Thompson, 81, wife of James W. Thompson, died Friday, January 10, 2014, at Williamsburg Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, January 13, 2014, in the chapel at Williamsburg Funeral Home. Burial, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, followed at Kingstree Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Thompson was born April 15, 1932, in Laurens County, the daughter of the late Henry Thomas Johnson and Cora Craft Johnson. She was a graduate of Whitmire schools and was a homemaker. Survivors, in addition to her husband of Kingstree, are: three children, Pam Pittman (Rick) of Raeford, North Carolina; Phyllis Lifrage (Geoff) and “Buster” Thompson (Linda), both of Kingstree; one brother, Junior Johnson of Whitmire; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
