Funeral services for Mrs. Clarine Edrezina Woods Davis, conducted by Bishop H.E. Dixon, were held Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Ministries of Truth Tabernacle of Cordesville. Mrs. Davis died Monday, January 6, 2014, at her residence. She was born August 13, 1926, in St. Stephen, the daughter of the late Eddie Willie and Ida Bell Rivers Woods. She received her formal education in the public schools of Berkeley County. She received an Associate’s Degree from Lafayette School of Nursing. After an unfortunate accident, she could no longer work as a nurse, but later worked as a domestic worker. She was a member of White Chapel Holiness Church, where she served as an Usher and sang with the Gospel Stars. She was married to David John Davis, I. Two children, Virgina and David John Davis, II, preceded her in death. Survivors are: nine children, Catherine Gerald (Reggie), Otto Davis (Barbara), Vernetta Davis, Walter Davis (Gloria), Edward Davis (Angie) and Margaret Perkins (Gregory), all of St. Stephen; Albert Davis (Zina) of California; and Daniel Davis (Alma) of Goldsboro, North Carolina; and Harry Davis (Lisa) of Moncks Corner; three sisters, Inez Robertson of Washington, D.C.; and Annie Dell Bryant and Dorothy Beaufort, both of St. Stephen; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
