Funeral services for Terri M. Wilson White, conducted by the Rev. Willie Bryant and the Rev. Christopher Matthews, were held Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Union Missionary Baptist Church of Salters. Ms. White died Sunday, January 5, 2014. She was born May 4, 1962, in Salters, the daughter of Elijah and Rosetta Wilson. She received her education in Williamsburg County public schools, graduating from C.E. Murray High School and attended Washington School for Secretaries of Washington, D.C. For several years she worked as a correctional officer at the South Carolina Department of Corrections of Columbia. She continued her studies and training in the medical field where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Columbia and was continuing her studies to become a registered nurse. She was married to Joseph White, Jr. Four siblings, Elijah Wilson, Jr., Willie James Wilson, Sellers Wilson and Bernice Wilson, preceded her in death. Survivors, in addition to her parents of Salters, are: one daughter, Kendra White of Columbia; one son, Joseph White of Conway; five sisters, Alice Glover (Herman) of Brooklyn, New York; Lela Fulwood (Leon) of Hyattsville, Maryland; Shirleen Stephens (Robert) of Centreville, Virginia; Deborah Jackson (Larry) of Columbia; and Angela Wade (William) of Lorton, Virginia; and two brothers, John Wilson (Alethia) of Kingstree; and Floyd Wilson of Salters.
