Employee robbed at knife point

Law enforcement continues to search for a suspect in connection to a Thursday, January 9, armed robbery.  According to Kingstree Police report, around 7:30 pm a lone black male entered the Kings Express (Sunoco) convenient store located at 1441 North Longstreet Street and began to shop. He placed several items on the counter while waiting for the cashier to ring out another customer. When it was his turn to pay he asked the cashier for some items that were on the side of the counter. When the cashier reached for the items on the counter the suspect pinned the employee against the counter, placed her in a head lock, pulled out a knife and tried to stab her repeatedly. The suspect continued to hold the victim as he retrieved money from the cash register. The suspect fled the premises on foot. The suspect was described as a dark skinned black and slim build.
