Reese Morris, Jr., Kingstree

Reese Francis Morris, Jr., 56, died Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Carolinas Hospital of Florence. Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at Kingstree Memorial Gardens, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home of Kingstree.† Mr. Morris was born June 3, 1957, in Kingstree, the son of Bertha Hatcher Morris Harris and the late Reese Francis Morris, Sr. He was a graduate of Kingstree High School and was retired from Santee Electric Cooperative. He was a member of the Waccamaw Indian Tribe, a member of Mill Branch Hunting Club, and a member of First Assembly of God Church. A sister, Dorothy Parks, preceded him in death. Survivors, in addition to his mother of Kingstree, are:† two sons, Reese F. “Trey” Morris, III, (Lori) of Andrews; and Wyatt Morris of Kingstree; three sisters, Toby Dukes† (Bobby) of Kingstree; Mary Bryant (William) of Gaston; and Judy Banty (Tom) of W. Columbia; and one grandson. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
