Funeral services for Fredrica Antonique “Nicky” Snowden, conducted by the Rev. Cindy C. Shaw, were held Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Bethel United Methodist Church of St. Stephen. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery of St. Stephen. Ms. Snowden died Sunday, December 1, 2013. She was born June 23, 1976, the daughter of Freddie Williams and the late Mrs. Willie Mae Smith of Brooklyn, New York. There, she was raised and attended the public schools. At an early age, she became a member of Bushwick Methodist Church as well as a Girl Scout Troop. In 1991, she graduated from Bushwick High School. She continued to work for the Board of Education of New York and later started her own cleaning business. Survivors, in addition to her father, are: five children, Lanasia Jefferson of Alabama; LaShona Jefferson, Brekay Vaughan, Rakyla Vaughan and Champion Snowden, all of Atlanta, Georgia; her step-father, Verner Smith of Brooklyn, New York; two sisters, Telia Snowden (Chelle) of Titusville, Florida; and Tronda of Brooklyn, New York; and two Godchildren, Jomar Francise of Brooklyn, New York; and Shana Edwards of Titusville, Florida.
