John Dozier, Kingstree

Funeral services for John “Coot” Harry Dozier were held Friday, December 13, 2013, at Marion Missionary Baptist Church of Salters. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Marion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery of Salters. Mr. Dozier died Sunday, December 8, 2013. He was born November 23, 1951, in Williamsburg County, the son of the late John Nathaniel Dozier and Geneva Vernell Giles Dozier. He was a member of Marion Missionary Baptist Church. He received his formal education in the public schools of Williamsburg County, where he graduated Kingstree Senior High School, Class of 1971. He worked at Milliken of Kingstree as a supervisor. He also worked at TG&Y of Kingstree as store manager. He was married to Lillie Redden. Two sisters, Mariah (Harris) Fleming and Lauossie (Soloman) Edwards, preceded him in death. Survivors are: three daughters, Alicia Tisdale (Roland) of Stafford, Virginia; Annetta Dozier of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Tanisha Dozier of New York, New York; and four grandchildren.
