Noonday Prayer - St. Paul United Methodist Church, 3733 Thurgood Marshall Hwy., Kingstree, will be open for noonday prayer on Wednesdays. We invite anyone who wants to come in and spend time with God to stop by and pray as long as they would like.† The church will open at 12 p.m. and remain open until after Bible Study at 6 p.m.† All are welcome to share in our Bible Study as well. On the Move Again!, sponsored by Apostle Angela Jennette Wilson and Family, will have Parade of States on February 15, 2014, at the Williamsburg County Complex from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Please call (843) 372-5108 to be added to the program. In the Parade of States individuals will name something or someone important and tell why or what was important about it. There will also be community gospel and a Praise Fest. † Teachings From The Ark - Teachings From The Ark announces the following events for the month of December. December 28, teachings. December 21 movie, admission is $3, adults and $2, children with free refreshments at 11:30 a.m. All events start at 12 p.m. except movie and food pantry. Teachings From The Ark’s Food Pantry will be open to the public Saturday, December 21, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at 101 E. Main St., Kingstree. All recipients are required to show a current valid photo I.D. in order to receive commodities. No exceptions. † Concert - Christmas for to Sopranos and Organ will be held at Central Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, December 18, at 7 p.m. Featuring the following performers. Ashley Fabian, soprano has been lauded by Charleston Today for her “notes that reached the rooftop,” has performed in the Piccolo Spoleto Festival as soloist and many other musicals, and operas. She was the first place winner of the South Carolina National Association of Teachers of Singing Students Auditions for five consecutive years. Courtney Richmond, soprano, has participated in Charleston’s Piccolo Spoleto Festival as a soloist and also is a member of the College of Charleston Concert Choir. Courtney as also performed various musical and operas scenes. George Hiatt, organist, as the Allen Organ representative and service technician for Fox Music House, and Organist/-Choirmaster for St. Johannes Lutheran in Charleston. Elder Eli Gamble, Jr. is the pastor. † Christmas Extravaganza - Kingstree First Assembly will host their third annual Christmas Extravaganza.† The event will be held on Friday, December 20, at 6:30 p.m.† They will kick things off with a children's cantata, followed by the Christmas play "The Christmas Visitors."† After-wards, there will be a dessert smorgasbord and a spectacular firework display.
