Harold Jackson. Chief Williams or Rev. Jackson can be reached at 355-5435 or come by the police department and leave your name, phone number, and address.   TOPS - Taking Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) Weight Program will meet on Thursdays at 9:15 a.m. at Ina Miles Store. For more information contact Lillie Jean at (843) 355-3002 or Ann at (843) 382-9696.   Senior Bingo - The senior citizens of Lane invite any senior citizen to join them every first and third Tuesday at Lane Recreation Center on Broomstraw Rd. for “Senior Bingo.”   Weight Watchers- Weight Watchers 2013 meetings will be held at the First Baptist Church of Kingstree. Classes are on Thursdays at 5 p.m.   Child Screenings - Williamsburg County School District Office of Special Ser-vices, located at 500 North Academy Street, Kingstree, (843) 355-5533, will hold child find screenings each month.   Housing Authority - The Housing Authority of Kingstree will meet every third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at 1022 Lexington Ave., Kingstree.   Exhibition - C. Williams Rush Gallery/ Museum Of African-American Arts & Culture 200 Hampton Avenue, Kingstree, host The third Annual “A Beautiful Black Christmas” will be held November 6 to  December 31, 2012 A showcase of black angels, Santas, nutcrackers, nativity scenes and Christmas trees decorated with black ornaments. School groups are encouraged to attend all of the educational exhibits (awesome gift ideas in gallery/museum shop).   Banquet - The Tomlinson Alumni Committee, Inc. will sponsor a banquet honoring outstanding student who attended the school prior to 1955. This will be the first class of “Hall of Fame Honorees.” This event is scheduled for Saturday, March 22, 2014, 5 p.m. at the Williamsburg County Recreation Complex Gym, Thurgood Marshall Highway, Kingstree. Funds will benefit the building project, The Tomlinson Resource and Fine Arts Center. Tickets may be purchased from members of the committee. Vernon/Leahs Loop Community Crime Watch would like to invite the people in their communities to a Christmas Tree Lighting at the Leahs Loop Community Park on December 17, at 5:30 p.m.  This is a special time for the communities to come together and recognize this special season.    Concert - Christmas for to Sopranos and Organ will be held at Central Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, December 18, at 7 p.m. Featuring the following performers. Ashley Fabian, soprano has been lauded by Charleston Today for her “notes that reached the rooftop,” has performed in the Piccolo Spoleto Festival as soloist and many other musicals, and operas. She was the first place winner of the South Carolina National Association of Teachers of Singing Students Auditions for five consecutive years. Courtney Richmond, soprano, has participated in Charleston’s Piccolo Spoleto Festival as a soloist and also is a member of the College of Charleston Concert Choir. Courtney as also performed various musical and operas scenes. George Hiatt, organist, as the Allen Organ representative and service technician for Fox Music House, and Organist/-Choirmaster for St. Johannes Lutheran in Charleston. Join us for a night of Christmas music, singing and fellowship, refreshments to follow.   Service - You are invited to a deliverance service with Pastors Gerthene and Otis Baxter on Friday, December 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the Lord of Lords of Hope Ministries, 305 S. The meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month, at 6 p.m. at Siloam Baptist Church of Kingstree.   Our Christmas Wish - The Foster Children in Williamsburg County need your help. These children will be celebrating the holidays away from their families and homes. We are reaching out to the community and asking you to help make Christmas a joyous occasion for each and every foster child in care in our county. Vernon/Leahs Loop communities are invited to our monthly meeting to form a Crime Watch for the area.   This month we will be reviewing the necessary paperwork to present to the Sheriff Department and County Council. Those people living on Hwy 261 W, known as the Manning Hwy, starting at Hwy  52 S to the Clarendon County Line;  Roads that intercept Hwy 261 W; Mt. Vernon Rd., Easler Rd from Coleman Rd back up to Mt. Vernon Hwy.  Roads that are intercepting with Easler Rd.  This includes the Leahs Loop Community and the roads within it.  We need additional Block Leaders, thus need the help of the communities to make this work.  We will be meeting on Thursday, December 19th  at 7:30 PM at the Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church Educational Building at 132 Mt. Vernon Rd, Greeleyville, SC.  We need the participation of everyone for this community effort.
