Joseph Miller, Kingstree

Funeral services for Joseph Miller, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Robbie C. McKesson, were held Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Old Mt. Zion AME Zion Church of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Greenlawn Cemetery of Kingstree. Mr. Miller died Monday, November 25, 2013. He was born July 8, 1946, the son of the late Junious and Maybell Miller. He was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Kingstree. He attended Tomlinson High School and graduated in the class of 1963. After graduating from high school, he relocated to New York City, where he secured his first job with Park Name Plate Company of Queens, New York, in the Production Department. After 18 years with Park Name Plate, he decided to retire. Two brothers, Ernest Miller and Tom William Miller, preceded him in death. Survivors are: one son, Joseph Terrell Miller of Queens, New York; four brothers, Robert Miller (Phyllis) of Marietta, Georgia; Frankie Miller (Birdena) of Kingstree; John Miller (Pearl) and Bernard Miller; and three sisters, Alberta Scott (Al), Eleine Bond (Jimmy) and Mary Alice Monteith (Mitch).
