Martha McCray, Pineville

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Breach McCray, conducted by the Rev. Clarence Mitchell, were held Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Jehovah United Methodist Church of Pineville. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Jehovah United Methodist Church Cemetery of Pineville. Mrs. McCray died Wednesday, November 13, 2013. She was born July 20, 1940, in Berkeley County, the daughter of the late Willie Breach and Mary Carr Breach. She was educated in the Berkeley County School System. She was a member of Jehovah United Methodist Church, where she served on the Usher Board, the Adult Choir, The Nurture Committee, and a member of the United Methodist Women. She worked and retired from Carolina Nursery of Moncks Corner. She was married to the late Johnny McCray. One sister, Violet Cleveland, preceded her in death. Survivors are: three children, Yvonne Griffin of Warner Robins, Georgia; Nathaniel Breach (Jessica) of St. Stephen; and Carla McCray of Pineville; three sisters, Susan Breach and Sadie Jenkins (Samuel), both of Pineville; and Rosa Gourdine (Johnny) of St. Stephen; four stepdaughters, two stepsons, four grandchildren; and step-grandchildren.
