Funeral services for Randolph Anderson were held Monday, November 4, 2013, at the chapel of James C. Boyd Castle Funeral Home of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Burial, directed by James C. Boyd Castle Funeral Home, followed with full military honors in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Lake Worth, Florida. Mr. Anderson, 73, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, died Sunday, October 27, 2013, in Florida. He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Elder Sam and Mother Phillis Barr Anderson. He attended the public school system of Florence County. He received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corp. Four siblings, Joseph Anderson, Leroy Anderson, Willie E. Anderson, and Sarah A. Cook, preceded him in death. Survivors are: three brothers, Sam Anderson, Jr. (Ethel) of Warner Robin, Georgia; Frank Anderson (Terry) of San Bernadine, California; and Elder David E. Anderson (Willie L.) of Kingstree; three sisters, Betty Anderson, Coreather Taylor and Ruby Allen, all of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Local notification was entrusted to Pressley’s Funeral Home of Kingstree.
