Bobby Sypolt, Darlington

Bobby Billy Sypolt, 87, of Darlington, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at his residence. A memorial service was held Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Bethea Baptist Church. Mr. Sypolt was born in Rowlesburg, West Virginia, the son of the late Alma Marie Sypolt. He served in the United States Navy in World War II on the Destroyer USS John L. Williamson. He served at Iwo Jima and the Marshall Islands. He was retired from Cayce Company of Florence. He was married to the late Adelaide McCrea Sypolt. Survivors are: three children, Billy Sypolt (Anne) of Irmo; Kenneth Sypolt (Peggy) of St. Petersburg, Florida; and Barbara Made (Jim) of Melbourne, Florida; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Bethea Baptist Church, 157 Home Avenue, Darlington, SC 29532.
